A NEW GENERATION OF TENNIS

Our BTA ALLSTARS League is giving tennis competitions a whole new look! The goal of BTA ALLSTARS is to create a competitive structure for children of all ages and abilities the chance to ENJOY competing in teams, in a fun and safe environment.

BTA ALLSTARS is the step in between tennis lessons and competing in LTA or other external tournaments and competitions. We want to create positive patterns of behaviour for children and parents to enjoy competitions and make it a fun experience for everyone!

Although tennis is seen as an individual sport, we feel that it is very much a team effort. Everyone has a part to play, children, parents and coaches all need to work together to build a positive foundation for each child to grow and develop through their tennis journey.

HOW IT WORKS

• Each child will represent their club Broxbourne/Cuffley/Hertford
• Children will play matches first to 7 or 10 points.
• 1 point will be awarded for playing a match
• 2 points will be awarded for winning a match
• Each round will have a different theme where bonus points will be awarded if a child completes the challenge set out by the coach (e.g. recover to the middle, finish shots over your shoulder)
• Each child will play at least 5 matches

On the ALLSTAR finals day in September the scores are tallied up across all the events and the winning club will be announced!
